By using our Services and providing us with personal information about you, you are agreeing to the terms of this Notice.

We collect personal information directly from you when you use our Services, including when you join FWA as a member, subscriber or sponsor firm, visit our Site, register for or speak at our events, subscribe to our newsletters, participate in our research studies or surveys, or contact us. We may also collect information about you such as your name, email address, and phone number from our partners or other third parties if you are referred to us by them.
We also collect your personal information automatically when you interact with our Services or otherwise browse the Site.

We collect registration details from you such as your name, email address, phone number, gender, dietary restrictions, and emergency contact information when you register to speak at or attend our events. Please review The Family Wealth Alliance’s Event Terms and Conditions for additional details on the use and protection of the personal information we collect in these contexts.

Contact information. To the extent you use the “Contact Us” feature on our Site, we will collect the personal information you provide to us, which may include your name, company name, email address, and phone number.
Cookies. A cookie is a small file that is transferred from our Site to the hard drive of your computer upon your use of our Site. Cookies ensure our Site works as intended, personalize and capture your preferences on our Site, and improve your experience with our services.
We use the following categories of cookies:
Strictly necessary cookies: These cookies are required for the operation of our Site. They are essential for ensuring that you experience a continuous and unified experience across the website, and do not lose the ability to utilize various features and functionality. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website, and to complete editable fields across multiple pages.
Performance cookies: These cookies allow us to better understand how visitors use our website, including how visitors navigate our website and which pages are viewed most frequently. The information collected by these cookies does not personally identify any visitor. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
Functionality cookies: These cookies are used to recognize you when you return to our website. They enable us to personalize our content for you, greet you by name, and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region). These cookies cannot track your activities on other websites.
More information about the individual cookies we use and the purposes for which we use them are described in the table below:

Pixel tags. A pixel tag (also known as a web beacon, clear graphics interchange format (GIF), pixel, or tag) is an image or a small string of code that may be placed in an advertisement or email. It allows companies to set or read cookies or transfer information to their servers when you load a webpage or interact with online content. For example, on our Site and in emails we sometimes include a GIF. They allow us to keep your session active while you may be doing research so that you will not have to log in again when you return to our Site. In an email message, we may embed a GIF in the message that allows us, for example, to determine if your email reader is HTML capable or how fast your connection to the Internet is. This allows us to deliver content in a format most appropriate to your computer's capabilities.
Third-party plugins. Our Services may include plugins from other companies, including social media companies. These plugins may collect information, such as information about the pages you visit, and share it with the company that created the plugin even if you do not click on the plugin. Third-party plugins are governed by the privacy policies and terms of the companies that created them.
Aggregated and de-identified information. From time to time, we may also aggregate or deidentify information about your use of our Services, such as the pages you visit. Such aggregated information will not identify you personally.
